I am working on a documentation package for my project.
Part of that activity includes creating a PCB fabrication sheet.
That sheet consists of a general dimensional drawing with hole locations, notes, etc.
I used the Drill File creator to make the different files.
The Report is useful for the layer stackup and the maps for hole locations.
Including the Report is easy as it is a text file.
What I am trying to do now is to import the maps into PCBNew.
These are postscript files… I have tried a number of ps to dxf converters but the ones I have tried have failed miserably…
What I do is output the drill map as a .dxf file then import it to an unused layer, like eco1.
export:
a, Under “file>fabrication outputs>drill file”, select “map file format” = dxf;
b. click the “generate map file” button, on bottom right.
import:
a. Under “file>import>graphics”; select the drill map dxf file and select the layer you want it on.
b. You have to manually align the drill drawing with the pcb; but it is the same scale.
