I have made captured some schematics in OrCad, but I would like to try out the KiCad PCBnew. Does any one know how I can take the schematic I have captured in OrCad Capture and use it in KiCad. I have found some pieces of software written by users, but have not had any success. I am not sure if there is a really easy solution to this, but I have just had no luck. Thanks in advance for the help.
There are no official KiCad schematic converters so it’s a matter of trawling the web for other people’s prior work. If you’re lucky OrCAD will at least export to yet another format which someone’s tool can convert. You can always try upverter’s “community edition” to see if it does a good job converting OrCAD to KiCad.
