Image in schematic component symbol

Hi All,

There is a way to include a color image (png, jpg) in a component symbol?

Yes, but, the Color is Singular (sort of…)and is done in the Symbol-editor. Can play around a bit to help toward getting usable coloring…

Use the Image-Converter Tool and play with the settings. Then, Symbol-Output in the Panel…

AFTER Color Change… I did not fuss with making it pretty… just grabbed it and done…

Ok, so does not support image insertion, only image conversion to vector - even if V8…
The only way is to drop the image directly in schematic, I assume

Correct assumption. Can get a reasonable image, depending on the original and what you want but, Kicad is not Image-Friendly if wanting good images beyond placing it using the Image tool (as in Guitar below).
