HowTo: 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Compact

Hi there
In the KiCAD 6.02 Development Highlight: February Update I read about 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Support. For me the SpaceMouse Compact does not react as expected in the 3D viewer.
What to I have to set that the SMC is working as my 3D mouse does in other 3D stuff.

Support for SpaceMouse was recently added to the master branch (V6.99). I’m pretty sure that it hasn’t been and will not be pushed to 6.0.x.

The Development Highlights: February Update mainly mentions new features in the master branch.

“Development” goes on in the “master branch” which is called 6.99 currently and will be 7.0 later. This is what “development highlights” tells about.
The stable version 6.0.2 etc. receives “bugfixes”, and no new features.
