I’m using Kicad v7, and I’ve generated a BOM in the schematic with “Tools → Generate BOM”. As a result, the refdes in the schematic changed, but the BOM doesn’t reflect that.
Is there a way to automatically update the refdes in the PCB layout to reflect that of the schematic?

The BOM generation does not change the refdes but an annotation does. Anyways, hit F8 (eeschema or pcbnew, doesn’t matter) to update the board.
Ah, be sure to UNCHECK “Re-link footprints…” or hell might break loose.
