How to see via padstack

I have a demo project open in KiCad. I am wondering how can I see the via padstack ? that shows via hole diameter, via pads in different layers.

KiCad (V8) does not have a full pad stack. But it does have the ability to simply remove pads on via’s and THT pads on copper layers that do not have a track connected. You can see (& verify) this aspect of your design by loading the PCB into the 3D viewer (With [Alt + 3]) and then manipulating the layers a bit. For example, disable the solder mask and board body to look inside the PCB.

We don’t want to modify the via pad stack.

Only want to see the pad diameter and hole diameter. Kindly let me know how I can see the via pad stack. Thanks

Select the via, hit ‘E’?

As 3Dogs has said . . . hit E to see the via Properties, that isn’t the pad stack as such.

How do I select the via ? I use the top right option which is for select but I am not able to select the via. The next in the list is Toggle and then Add a footprint and Route. I am not sure which one can select the via.

When it comes to E, is that big letter E or small letter e ?

The same as anything on the PCB or Schematic. Hover mouse cursor over the required item and press the e key or double Left mouse button click. Letter case is inconsequential.

I hover the mouse cursor over the via and press the e button from keyboard. Nothing happened.

As jmk has said . . . alternatively . . .

left mouse button click the via to select it . . .

or . . . long hold left mouse button then select the via . . .

Then E on the keyboard or . . . right click the via and select Properties

Note how @RaptorUK has zoomed in to make sure the cursor is actually over the via.
Did you try double left mouse click also?

I have selected the top most arrow from top right options. Then I move the mouse on the via and have long left click but the via is not select.

Do you have Vias ticked in the Selection Filter ?
