How to make FreeRoute use 4 layers instead of 2

I’ve got a 4 layer board, but FreeRoute still only routes on 2 layers…Why is this, and how can I make FreeRoute use all available 4 layers?

KiCad has a pretty cool interactive Push and Shove router for humans to use.

Even now, state of the art Auto-Routers still can’t compete with a skilled human.

You won’t find many active KiCad Info Forum members that use FreeRoute.
