How to make a track follow footprint?

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to make a track follow the footprint? Right now when I am moving the footprint around the track remains and only logical line gets drawn. Is there a way to change this?

Have you tried a footprint drag command?

Under Windows 64 4.0.2, that works under Default View, I don’t see how to drag under OpenGL View

or cairo

at least i did not find it or it was illogical

I remember that I have dragged the footprint once but have forgotten it. The drag command is not available in OpenGL which is kind of sad since I am using the autorouter.

Sadly, the same for Ubuntu 15.04 x86_64.

Very sad if Default View is planned to be removed at some point

This bug, I think

From Launchpad
"The following commands are missing from the footprint context menu when using a GAL canvas:

  1. Rotate counter clockwise.

  2. Drag. This may be more complicated as I don’t know if footprint dragging is implemented in the GAL canvas.

  3. Exchange footprints."

Now track following the footprint is split out as its own bug

The 2017 FOSDEM video from Wayne mentioned visible clearance during routing for the OpenGL canvas, same as the Legacy has.
And even flipped view (look at layout from the back).
I’m sure they’ll get all the features of Legacy converted before they switch it off, but I voted on that bug, to make sure it’s not being overlooked
