How to link parallel vias on top and bottom layers

Hi. I’m using 8.0.4 and trying to create parallel vias connected on both top and bottom layers.

Whenever I try to link the vias on the second layer, the link on the other layer disappears

I tried locking the track but that didn’t help.

I’ve used multiple vias elsewhere on the PCB without a problem.

This time I had to copy and paste the segment of track and change the layer of the copy.

There’s a setting in the layout editor to control more than one connection in a net.

It’s Route > Interactive Router Settings > Remove Redundant Tracks.
