How to install KiCad 4.0.5 on Ubuntu 16.10?

I just wanted to install the latest KiCad (v 4.0.5) on my Ubuntu 16.10 following the installation guide but it is not available for my Ubuntu version (just v 4.0.4 and 4.0.2 are avilable).

Does anybody has an an idea how to fix that or does know why I can’t install it?

Thanks in advance.
Moritz

I have the same issue

I’m on 16.04, and ppa:js-reynaud/kicad-4 updated to 4.05 fine for me. Maybe it’s a dependency issue?

edit
The PPA https://launchpad.net/~js-reynaud/+archive/ubuntu/kicad-4
shows build failures for 16.10 and 17.04, older Ubuntu versions are fine, dated 18th December

I wonder if anyone noticed

I emailed JS Reynaud and he says that 16.10 and 17.04 have the wrong boost library versions to build 4.0.5.
For now if you are on 16.10, you have to use a Nightly build

The explanation is here https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1647197
