Is it possible to “glue” a footprint in PCBnew? I use Pads from Mentor Graphics in the past and there you can glue components. The effect is, that you cannot move them accidentally during work.
In kicad this is called locking. If you are on version 5.1.x then this is done right click -> locking -> lock or with hotkey L (for toggle lock)
