The “Highlight Net” tool in the right-side symbol list is nice, but how do I end the highlight?
I’ve searched high and low for an answer.
Click anywhere on the canvas where nothing is located.
So simple that it evades one (and perhaps something for the documentation?)

ESC key wont work in this case. I had brought this up a few days ago and by design the nets stay highlighted so that other tools can be used.
There was a discussion to maybe add the ability to press ESC to exit net highlight mode.
The question is about getting the highlight removed so your answer is at best off topic.
