When in symbol editor I click at symbol value text “Edit Value Field” window opens. There I have “Font:” field where I can select from lot of fonts. But when I click [OK] button and then once more open that window Font is set back to ‘Default Font’.
Is it a bug, or a new feature not fully implemented yet?
Looks like a bug. This used to work.
I think I’ve found another fault in the Symbol Editor. See my just opened thread.
Not sure if doing same procedure. In symbol editor I click on text hit E and window pops up and enter text / ok. The text in image were just duplicated and changed value for each. Symbol shows correctly inserted in drawing.
Also works if editing symbol only on drawing not library. (like that feature can modify just for drawing without messing up my library.)

That is a different procedure.
Double click on the Ref. or Value field of a Symbol in the Symbol Editor and try to alter text.
Thank you for response wasn’t sure and, yes you are correct in font not changing for the reference value. Normally in my usage I have it set not visible (use only as drawing).
I have reported and it was closed as "This is already fixed’ 
I clicked [Enter] too fast after writing only title. Then I found how to add what is needed with the effect:
So it was closed based only on title before I added the description.
Somebody try to beat this record for bug response speed

After reading mails I got in meantime I see that my issue was closed by KiCad Bot just after clicking by me Enter too fast (with only title written). So it is easy to reach the same speed 
But then it was commented that “This is already fixed”.
Hi just quick question. Does it now work in Symbol Editor? I tried and it does not change the font there. Add symbol to drawing and it is changeable.

New Symbol
Named OK and tried both add a line and only reference (2 symbols)
Double clicked on reference, change font no effect. Saved
Add to drawing and shows normal default but can double click and change.
Think bug fix was missing the Symbol Editor portion and applied to drawing Could be wrong.

In 7.0.6 it doesn’t work.
“It is already fixed” I understand as in current test version it probably works and if it was fixed today than in tomorrow or next one test version it will work.
I just will wait for 7.0.7.
I don’t believe in such coincidences. I suppose he read this thread and corrected it. So when I tried to report it later, it was already fixed.
Very good, will wait and see (not affecting me) but still think may be issue reason of wording based on Gitlab “In Symbol editor, tying to change the font of a field did nothing.” may not address Reference Field. Not deal breaker works in drawing, but think you want to design your symbols in first place with custom Reference font versus tedious editing on drawing.
Indeed, he must have seen this thread (unless he has invented a time machine that hasn’t yet landed in a nightly)
