I want the reference designator R1 to appear at the same time top R1 and Bottom Layer R1
how to create a schematic symbol with footprint with this property…
Add a custom field to the library part, give it the text “${REFERENCE}” and layer B.Silkscreen. Don’t forget to mirror the text.
I do this for all THT parts in my library together with a simplified drawing, it eases up measuring and debugging!
The cost for silkscreen on both sides is nowadays negligible.
