all editors, there’s a feature where the cursor jumps to the opposite edge when it hits the edge of the editing area while moving.
This is very annoying. is there a way to disable it?
already turned off the “Center and warp cursor on zoom”
I’m not looking for replies telling me to get used to it.
It’s been nearly half a year since I migrated from Eagle, but this is the one thing I just can’t get used to.I wish they’d add this feature.
Hmm, never experienced anything like this, but then I don’t know even a fraction of the settings so I can’t say for sure that this is one.

Unfortunately there is no way to disable cursor warping
Turn off: … / Preferenced / Preferences / Mouse and Touchpad / Pan and Zoom / Automatically pan while moving object (I have also turned this off).
For the rest. I challenge you to turn on Center and warp cursor on zoom. It really is a very well thought out and useful feature. I also found it annoying in the beginning, and wanted to turn it off. But then I thought a bit about it and compared it with zooming in other programs. In other programs, the cursor location is usually used as the center for zooming. That means that if you want to go to the right, you first move the cursor to the left, then zoom out, move the cursor to the right and zoom in again.
In KiCad I first move the mouse in the direction I want to go to, then zoom out (one or two clicks). and this centers the cursor in the center of the screen too. As a result, I get a bigger overview of the area I want to to to, so I move further in that direction and zoom in again with the scroll wheel. It takes a week to a month (depending on how often you use KiCad and your personality) to get used to it, and you do have to apply some will of mind to get used to it, but after that, KiCad’s center and warp cursor on zoom is the best pan / zoom interface in any of the programs I have.
Hmmph, that setting is definitely broken at least in the nightlies.
