How can I import Eschema layout into PCBnew?

Hello, I’ve worked with other programs where I can choose how the footprints are laid out when importing a project. Untangling a large block of components is time consuming. It would make my life easier and more productive if I could find a way to import the Eschema layout and spacing into PCBnew. Is there a way to do this? I found an old post, but it appears that this option is no longer available in 5.x.x.

There was this script discussed a while back - is that the post you refered to? I have never tried it and I don’t know if it will work with KiCad 5; it was last updated 3 years ago so it might be worth a try but if it doesn’t work it probably needs a bit of updating.
