on the new daily commit, kicad-r13969.441c2c240-x86_64
when you select a component, it flares blue all around… and it looks horrible…
how can we turn that off ?

C for copy no longer works…
Version information must be copied from Help->About dialog. Package version isn’t enough.
This is a user forum, run by users. If you use nightly builds you should also prepare to either endure through problems or report them properly to the bug database: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/
Report there one problem at a time step by step. Give always the version information from the About dialog. Describe the problem exactly, possibly attach a screenshot or even a screencast.

C is back to the good old fashioned Ctrl+C
