Highlight components by value

Hi all,

for manual assembly, I alway like to create assembly plans, one for each component type. I.e. one where all 100nF caps are highlighted, one for the 10k resistors and so on. This makes assembly of multiple boards much easier and less error prone.

Is there a way to highlight components based on their value in the board editor? Or even based on the combination of value and footprint?

In the symbols field table (schematic editor) there is a “Group by” checkbox for all the fields. Something like this would be ideal for selection, but as far as I understand this would be a feature request / issue for the developers.

How would you generate a bunch of assembly plans with component groups highlighted?

Thanks in advance
Simon

I think I would have to select all the components on the PCB one by one using Shift + LMB

Pity it can’t be done on the schematic from the Symbol Fields Table because it would then also select them on the PCB.

Hopefully someone else has a better idea . . .

It is worth your while to try the “Interactive HTML Bom” in the “Plugin and Content Manager”.
It is the very first plugin in the list. It was created by Qu1ck.
