This is something I use often In pcb layout.
In V 5 it was easy to use, now it’s in a menu. Not so quick and easy.
Another question : Is there a function that will ‘interchange parts’ ?
Think of a group of series resistors on data lines. You might want to highlight some of the nets and then ‘interchange’ some of the resistors. This will make routing much easier.
You can use ctrl+click for highlight net, or the backtick key.
I don’t think there’s an easy way to interchange parts yet, but you could do something with changing nets manually and then backannotating to the schematic. I don’t think that’s really easier than just changing the schematic, though. Perhaps there’s a plugin?
You can grab a resistor by a pad while moving it, and then snap the pad to an enpoint of an existing track, even if that track is still from another net.
To do this you have to: Pcbnew / Preferences / Preferences / Pcbnew / Editing Options / Magnetic Points / Snap to Tracks: Always
