Hierarchical label not connected to anything

Hi,
I have an ERC issue that I don’t understand. It is says “Label not connected to anything” even though, I connected it. Can someone help me?

How does the other sheet look like where the Vin line goes to?

Also please post your version info. I know there used to be a bug where the ERC would give a false report that a connection is missing. Can you see the airwires in the board file?

Select VIN then hit G to drag it and drag it upwards . . . if it stays connected to the green wire then it IS connected . . . if it doesn’t then it wasn’t connected and you need to connect it.

@bask185
that is so weird because I connected VIN to another sheet and then I got no error :

It is says my version is : 7.0.5, release build

what is airwires?

@RaptorUK I did what you said and it was connected

This is why I ask about the other sheet, you haven’t shown it yet. If inside that sheet the Vin label is not connected to anything it may be the cause of your problem.

An Airwire is visable in a PCB design and shows the connections you have to make. If you open up the board design, hit update than you can see if there is an airwire between two points of where that Vin line is supposed to go. If the wire is there, the connection is there. If the airwire is missing, there is a mistake in your schematic.

At my PC it are the purpe lines. Default color is different iirc.

I thought you were asking what happens if I connect VIN to another sheet, not to show the sheet where VIN is from. Here is the sheet, VIN is on the right right side of the sheet :

testproject-power section 1sur2.pdf (411.5 KB)
But I think ERC would have told me if there were issues on the sheet where VIN is from.

Oh okay I got it for the airwires, thanks.
So if i’m not wrong R31 should be connected to Q6, since they have the same potential (VIN), right?

This looks okay, you might be looking at that bug I mentioned. You should consider upgrading kicad to 7.0.8.

From the things you’ve shown me this should indeed be the case.
