Hide components on layers

Is it possible to hide the components that are on the bottom of the PCB so you only see the ones top. When you start putting components on the top and bottom I’d like to just see one side, so that I can organise those parts without the distraction of the bottom side making it look so crowded.

That you can turn off pads on a layer, tracks no problem, but how do you do pads so the SMT parts do not show up? I’d love the idea of shoving a part into the other layer and it disappearing as that post mentions.

Under the layer render window on the right, uncheck “footprints back”. If you only want to hide the pads, uncheck the “pads back”.

Unfortunately they hidden footprints still remains selectable.

At least in Cairo.
