It would be great if the Design Rule Check (DRC) section could group errors by type. Then, it would be possible to expand each group and fix errors according to their types. Although the DRC section already sorts errors by type, being able to expand and collapse these groups would be very useful.
Such as ;
-Clearance Violation
-Track width
-etc.
Not only the Error section but also the Warnings and Exclusions sections could be grouped in this way.
My usual approach is to fix issues one footprint at a time, or fix issues based on their location on the PCB (I.e. a bunch of DRC arrows you see at once when zooming in.
I do like the approach of a tree like overview of DRC violations, but it starts getting more complicated when you thing about it more. Do you want to sort them based on error type or by footprint? Maybe both or other sort / grouping methods too? Recently there was a request for only reporting overlapping silkscreen violations once per footprint, and not for each silkscreen line.
