Schematic, Symbol Editor and default libraries all seem to work with a 1,27mm (50mil) grid setup. For the moment I change the editor grid resolution by context menu->grid where a pulldown list with predefined grid resolutions appears. Where do the predefined resolutions come from and is it possible to add a 0,3175 mm (12,5mil) Grid ?
View > Grid Properties or
Assign a hotkey to Grid Properties.
Fill User Defined Grid with your wishes.
Right Mouse click on an empty space on the schematic, select grid, and at the bottom of the list is User Defined Grid.
Don’t commit this to memory as there are major changes to Grid in the forthcoming 8.
thx, works perfect. Searched and expected this setup dialogue in the Preferences Menu and not View Menu.
Everything for the grid is in Preferences in the upcoming 8.
There are also lists with grid resolutions somewhere in a file in the configuration directory. I once shortened those lists. I removed around 3/4 of the presets to get more manageable shorter lists.
