GND Plane won't connect to GND Pad

not entirely sure what is happening here. I have a GND plane attempting ti attach to the GND pad but it will not. I can add a trace but that feels like defeat.

Here it is… Why a zone doesn't connect to a pad even though they belong to the same net?
