for some reason I cannot get the wire entry to join the bus. It appears to not be connected even though I believe it should be. This is also confirmed in the PCB layout as no rats nest line is drawn. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I thought I use to do this all the time without issue in Kicad 5. Now working in Kicad 7.
Zoomed in you can see that it doesn’t look connected.
things have changed a bit dear friend. to make use of the bus now, you have to define the bus first and then pull the connection tags.
Did you use the “Add a wire entry to a bus”?

Figured it out. I just need to label the wires going in and out of the bus. Makes sense otherwise it would not know which signal bundled in the bus goes where.
