Wanted to print this gerber BIG, whole page, So I selected Fit to Page in the print dialog.
Made an itty bitty print in the corner of the page. Smaller than “Accurate Scale 1,” which is what I usually use.
Let’s see. Details:
Windows 8 64 bit.
Gerbview v 5.0.0 release build.

Windows printing has always been très problématique . There has been some significant structural work to change how it is handled in V5.1.
In the meantime, the best recommendation on Windows is to plot to a PDF, open the PDF in a viewer and print from there.

Just installed 5.0.2 and it prints the same way.
I’m just making a wild guess here, but is your board design way off of the origin? I’m wondering if the scaling is trying to include the origin in the print area, but if the origin is way away from the board everything gets scaled down to include the origin in the print area.
