Generic netlist xml file

Using v5.1.2-1 on windows 10. I don’t seem to be able to generate the xml formatted file. Is there a specific tool I need to run to make this file?

If I try to generate a bom, every plugin shows (for example):

Plugin file:
bom_csv_sorted_by_ref
not found. Plugin not available.

Have I got some sort of path configuration problem, or corrupted installation?

Hmm… this works on a second computer; uninstalled kicad; reinstalled kicad; still no luck; removed existing bom generators from list; added back one or two… now it works?!? OK, nevermind.
