I too can’t get Freerouting to run with 9.0.1. It complains about the JRE version on my machine even though I’ve used the Java cleaner to flush it and reinstalled the JRE via the link shown in the Plugin manager.
Interestingly, it works fine with 8.0.9 so that would seem to indicate the JRE on my machine is fine? Running the latest 2.1FR in both the 8.0.9 case that works and the 9.0.1 case that doesn’t
FWIW, I’m unlikely to use an autorouter, but I like the idea that I could. Thanks for the revert tip.
Thanks for the feedback Dave … and I do appreciate the “FWIW” comment
Since battling with Freerouter in my Exelvision cartridge design (an obscure French computer using the TMS7220 microcontroller as a CPU) … it kept sticking tracks & vias between the cartridge pins, probably more due to my own inexperience than its own nefarious purposes … I’ve started doing some basic routing by hand, then letting Freerouting take over the rest.
Some further info from my install - maybe not for you but “for the record”. I’m using a Mac (2022 MacBook Air M2). Versions are below … Freerouting v2.0.1 works fine, v2.1.0 does not work:
