I have noticed that when updating a footprint, I need to EITHER click two times on update to actually apply the modification OR click on time on update and then closing the window. Is this behaviour any normal ? Or maybe it is something that could be “fixed” and I could make a note in the wishlist or something ?

I’ve also noticed this bug. Supposedly (according to this issue PCB Editor: After updating custom footprint you need you to click update twice for changes to reflect. (#17493) · Issues · KiCad / KiCad Source Code / kicad · GitLab) it should have been fixed in v8.0.3. If it hasn’t been, probably worth opening a new bug report (easiest way is KiCad > About KiCad > Report a bug) and mentioning the old issue as reference.
