Warning newbie KiCad user:
I am trying to understand libraries and the GitHub plugin. I am reading http://s100computers.com/Hardware%20Manuals/KiCad%20manuals/cvpcb.pdf and it tells me I bring up the footprint library table editing dialog by going to the preferences menu and selecting Library Tables. On my version of KiCad which is the daily PPA on Ubuntu there is no such optionj just Set Text, PDF viewer & Language
