KiCad 7.0+
OS: Pop!_OS 22.04( Ubuntu 22.04 base)
Install Type: Snap by Canonical
All predefined schematics and footprints that comes standard with kiCAD is unlinked.
The software works fine but manually linking them is tiresome.
What can I do to fix it ?

You can make your own libraries. I suggest to copy the official libraries to a different folder where you have write permissions.
Then, assign the footprints to the symbols in the symbol libraries. This way you will assign footprints only once.
Kicad is very flexible, it allows different approaches for this task.
What exactly do you mean by that?
I wonder why you are using a snap when your distro supports Ubuntu packages so you could install native packages from the PPA.
