Find does not find (a net)

I tried to find a net with Menu/Edit/Find, but it did not find anything. The net was there because high lighting it with Schematic editor found it on PCB editor, too. I got ‘GPIO13’ not found.

Are you in eeschema or pcbnew?

I tried to use find in Pcbnew.

Aye, indeed. Net-(K3-Pad4) not found

But if it’s a net name you’re looking for, you can use the Net Inspector:

Are you saying that net names in schematics are different than in PCB. I had a label there giving it a name, but wasn’t it a net name.

Net nets and their names are the same, however, in the schematic KiCad does not find a net name, but it finds a label. You used a text search function, and labels are texts. Netnames are net names and computers are brainless dead objects that can only follow simple instructions put into them by smart programmers.

Are you sure about that smart part.

If dumb programmers pour instructions into a computer, then the poor thing gets so confused it does not know what to do anymore.
And all KiCad programmers are of course smart people.

Of course they are. I am sure there are good reasons for confusing net names, labels and schematics. Probably some compatibility with old netlists.
