Hello, I want to make well centered filled zones with respect to led diode center.
For example led1 filled zone is less filled at the bottom but led2 is much more at the top and less at the bottom.
Correct it by moving filled zone corners to make it perfectly it is not so easy.
Interesting problem which doesn’t have a solution other than writing a script.
I make a quick test using the align tools on the context menu (selecting the led and the zone), unfortunately doesn’t matter which order I clicked, only the LED moved, never the zone.
How critical are the measurements?
Can you think of a grid size that would fit both your LED placement and zone edges?
Placing your LED’s on a grid, and then the zone boundaries on a grid that is exactly 1/2 or 1/4, etc of the LED grid may be a bit easier still.
Beware when placing components on a grid. If you drag a Footprint by a pad, then the center of that pad is placed on the grid. If you drag it by it’s center (or edge!) then the center of the whole footprint is placed on the grid.
