F9.3 in library convention outdated for v5.0?

Subpoint 6 of Point F9.3 in the library requires the assigned 3D Model as a .wrl-file. Also the corresponding script for checking your components of compatibility with the library conventions generates an error if the 3D model is not a .wrl-file.

Is there any reason to keep the mandatory presence of an .wrl-file with the advanced .step support of version 5.0?

If not it would be good to change the conventions there because it would save conversion steps (most models are .step anyway) and disk space.

wrl is for rendering, step for MCAD integration. wrl file ending will be replaced for step export anyways.
