Exporting a schematics results in b&w image

I just noticed that in KiCAD 9.0.0 and 9.0.1 when I export a schematics diagram (to the clipboard) it is black and white. In all the previous versions I have used (>=6.0) it always exported in color. Is this now a feature, or a bug? Is there a way (at least a workaround) to go back to colorful schematics? Just to clarify, the designer is in color, works like a charm. This issue only happens with exporting.
My system: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, KiCAD 9.0.1.

just make export to pdf and use color schematic, or change option in File->Print->Output Mode->Color

then the image in the clipboard will be either black and white or color, depending on the selected print dialog option

Gosh, working on a schematic in color is good. But when I print or export it, all I want is B&W…

Maybe you, but if you want to embed it in a web site, it doesn’t harm if it is readable…
