Explode footprint components

Hello!

In Altium, you can select one footprint, and use “explode selected components to free primitives”. It will replace the footprint with the footprint primitives, keeping the pads associated with the net. It is very handly in many cases, if you dont want to create a new whole footprint for a small change.

Is there anything similar in kicad?

Yes. You can pass any footprint into the footprint editor from board and then export it back with your changes. This not affect same footprints in libraries, because you do local edits (only in PCB file).
