Exiting Gerber View when reading eagle cad data

Hello.

I’m using Kicad ver.5.0.2(newest). When I read Eagle Cad data, the Gerber View has exited.
I download Kicad ver.5.0.0. This version reads correctly.
Is there anyone who knows this reason?

Are you importing an Eagle project (.sch and .pcb files)? Or are you opening Gerber files that were created by Eagle?

I’m loading gerber file directly using “open gerber data” menu on Gerber View UI.
The gerber file are created by Eagle.

Thanks! Two or three more posts and you’ll be able to upload I think.

I looked at your gerber file with both 5.0.2 and the latest nightly build but do not have any issues opening or viewing the file.

What happens when you open the file? Do you see any error messages? Does the window only disappear? Or does it change first?

Hello.

I’m using windows 64bit version. Windows version is 1809(latest).
When I opened the file, waited several seconds, closed the window of Gerber View. That was all.
I’ve redownload and reinstalled the software. No changes occurred.

This sounds like a bug in MSW 5.0.2.

You can try a nightly build of 5.1 from here to see if the bug has been fixed in a more recent version. File formats have not changed in the nightlies but these are still pre-release, so there may be bugs. Please back up any files before using this version.

It would also be helpful to report the bug at https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad This will allow windows developers to try to recreate the issue and hopefully help to resolve it. Both files you link seem to work well for me on Linux.
