Environment Variable question

Somehow I have two copies of a Environment Variable path. If I delete one it dissapeas from the “Configure Paths” box, but after I save and re-open the box the deleted path shows up again. I inadvertently have a trailing space in one of the paths and that may be causing an error, because early on I got an error about not being able to parse the path.

Also when I edit a footprint in PCB I get this cryptic warning:

Any ideas?

OK - I posted an issue to have the trashcan icon actually work in the Configure Paths dialog, and to include the path to the correct file to edit in that dialog.

For what it’s worth, on a Mac I edited this file:
/Users/myName/Library/Preferences/kicad/5.99/kicad_common.json

This will be platform specific.

Edited the file and sorted out my issue. Obviously it’s going to be important that these files are edited correctly - so maybe a little information / warning on doing this is in order - including maybe making a backup.
