Hi everyone,
I am currently working on a project with 300+ footprints and I have already assigned 3d models to all of them. I know KiCAD 9 added the ability to embed footprints and 3d models in the file, but from what I see in the assign 3d models dialog box, it looks like I would need to embed each one individually. I was wondering if there is a way to embed all footprint/3d CAD models at once?

Embedding all 3D models at once is not implemented yet.

It doesn’t look like there is an existing issue related to the actual question, though it seems like a great feature to wishlist (to me). To do so, please create an issue on Gitlab (using KiCad > About KiCad > Report a bug) and describe your goal (something like Archive 3D models plugin but for embedding?). Once you’ve posted the issue, please paste a link to it back here so I and other people can give it a “thumbs up” to show support.
