Eeschema don't 'center' the part selected in PCBNew

hi!

With the two programs opened in two screens, if I select a device/label to be moved in Eeschema the corresponded footprint will be highlighted and centered (if the zoom is big) in PCBnew, but is not happens in reverse (if I select a footprint to be moved in PCBNew nothing happens in Eeschema). I remember for a while ago this was in both directions, there is some preferences to change for this to happen or is a bug from the version?

I’m using version: Application: kicad
Version: no-vcs-found-7518~57~ubuntu16.04.1, release build
Libraries: wxWidgets 3.0.2
libcurl/7.47.0 OpenSSL/1.0.2g zlib/1.2.8 libidn/1.32 librtmp/2.3
Platform: Linux 4.4.0-59-generic x86_64, 64 bit, Little endian, wxGTK

  • Build Info -
    wxWidgets: 3.0.2 (wchar_t,wx containers,compatible with 2.8)
    Boost: 1.58.0
    Curl: 7.47.0
    KiCad - Compiler: GCC 5.4.0 with C++ ABI 1009
    Settings: USE_WX_GRAPHICS_CONTEXT=OFF
    USE_WX_OVERLAY=OFF
    KICAD_SCRIPTING=ON
    KICAD_SCRIPTING_MODULES=ON
    KICAD_SCRIPTING_WXPYTHON=ON
    KICAD_SCRIPTING_ACTION_MENU=OFF
    BUILD_GITHUB_PLUGIN=ON
    KICAD_USE_SCH_IO_MANAGER=OFF
    KICAD_USE_OCE=ON

Did you start both - EEschema & PCBnew - from the KiCAD project manager window?

never mind, I just realized I have a nightly build, don’t really know why I choose this at the install moment, and of course is normal to have problems with them
now I need to figure out how to recover the PCB design I was doing, because the version 4.0.5 don’t open the file! :anguished:

Can confirm that a nightly from couple days ago doesn’t do it.
