Editing Footprint error

Hi,
I’m trying to make a FOOTPRINT in the editor.

Using the measurements in the D/S, I get errors, ‘too small’

Hi,
Similar subject different problem.

I’m unable to add tracks to AK8963C shown on image. I used ‘Use starting width’ and even tried 0.1mm, but I get the green PAD lights.

tun on: PCB Editor / Preferences / Preferences / PCB Editor / Display Options / Clearance Outlines / Track & Via Clearances / Show Always

With this setting a thin line is drawn around every piece of PCB Track and you can see if it fits. The thin lines can overlap, but the thin lines may not overlap solid objects.

Also turn in the Show pad clearance in that same dialog.
In your case it looks like the clearance between the pads is too small. You have used the default clearance of 0.2mm, but there is only room for a clearance of 0.16mm between the pads. You can set this in: PCB Editor / File / Board Setup / Design Rules / Net Classes, and then change the Default Clearance to 0.16mm or preferably a bit smaller such as 0.15mm.

@paulvdh Hi P,
Perfect :slight_smile: I had to use 0.15mm
Thanks, C

Hi,
I think I’ve solved the first one by editing out the offending ‘near’ corner line.
