DRC Warnings with True Type fonts

I see this question has been posted before, but it was not answered:

DRC: [text_thickness]: Text thickness out of range (TrueType font characters with insufficient stroke weight)

Is this just a bug, or is there a resolution for it?

Can you provide any information about your design and the problem you are seeing? (Note: the problem you are seeing, not the problem someone else saw a year ago). Please also provide your version.

Without knowing anything about your design, I would guess it’s working as intended and detecting a stroke that is narrower than the configured minimum width.

You can set the minimum stroke width at Board Setup > Design Rules > Constraints > Minimum Text Thickness. This arbitrary value corresponds to what can be plotted/printed as minimum stroke width and depends on the manufacturing process. Your text is obviously too thin. You can either ignore this, and the text might not be clearly visible or you can increase the thickness of your text. To do this double click on your text and change the thickness to an appropriate value.

True Type fonts are designed for screen reading and paper printing, not silkscreen processes.

This is an old Post but, informative…
