DRC Footprint Filter error

I hereby certify that I am not simply asking someone else to design a footprint for me.

This is an auto-generated message that is in place on the “footprints” section of the KiCad.info forum. If I remove it and ask for a footprint to be designed anyway, I understand that I will be subject to forum members telling me to go design my own footprint or referring me to a 3rd party footprint site.

I migrated my project from v8 to v9 and a design which had no errors in older version now during the DRC I get a lot of: ‘Error: xxxx doesn’t match symbol’s footprint filters’. I checked footprint filter and it looks okay design is as expected but I still get the error.

I am getting this under schematic parity tests.

Anyone had this before?

This ERC check is newly added in v9. So it can be expected to give errors/warnings which were not there in v8.

To decide if the error is justified we would need a example project attached to your question.

Okay, I have found the solution. I had some incorrect footprint filters in the schematic symbol and since it was a new check it never came up before.
