Drawing lines in schematic

How do i draw a general line such as a line pointing to a text block, then even add a arrow.

I have tried using the “wire” icon but its not the same as i need an angle to the horizontal perhaps than just vertical and horizontal.

You didn’t state your version, but in 7.0.7, with shift+space you can cycle thru free angle/45°/90° restricted drawing modes.

Or the other method which is a graphic line only (hotkey I) and not called a wire, is shown with the red arrows.

Edit: Sorry, I missed this:

You have three choices.

  1. Scroll through the choice of drawing alternatives as @straubm describes above.
  2. In Preferences, change the Line Drawing Mode, as shown below in the screen grab.
  3. Assign Hotkeys for the individual modes for drawing Wires, Lines, Arcs & Busses. These are titled “Line Mode for Wires and Busses” in the Schematic editor (or to find, type that description into the search filter at the top of the hotkey list.

You can use the Arrow Symbol’s - click the Symbols Icon, type Arrow to get the selection list.
Select and place it on schematic.

Can Edit it and change colors/etc
(I changed one to Magenta color)

Can also make your own… as a new Symbol

Ha! I didn’t even know those existed…

(Maybe I should update my libraries from 4.0…)

Me too.

May be I should look through current libraries to find what is worth copying.

…and, can Edit the symbol (placed or library) to get circular…
