Draw filled zone along imported graphic

In my board I imported a DXF graphic. Now I want to create a filled zone following some of these imported lines.

Is there a way to snap the cursor at least to the ends of graphic lines? Like the “measure distance” (caliper) does.

Is the imported feature on a silk screen layer? I assume it is a logo or artistic feature.

Select the copper layer on the same side as the graphic. You should be able to create a fill zone under the graphic. Initially it need not be a single complex zone. Just do the main part of it, then create additional zones the are adjacent or overlap slightly.

If the graphics have radical features this could be painful.

I’ve never tried to import to a copper layer. Give it a try. Also try to copy from Silk to Copper.

It is the board edge. I understand your suggestion, but it is a workaround.

So, Kicad does not allow to snap objects to others. Well, the caliper tool does, so it would technically possible.

A zone does not need to conform to the board edge. If you have an odd shaped pcb, just draw a single large zone, well beyond the pcb edges.
When you create the Gerber, you will get what you want.
