Dragging components around a schematic

I reverse engineered a schematic from a PCB and followed the physical layout to make it easy to transpose from the PCB to the schematic but now I am finished I want to drag around the parts to make it flow left to right and to organise by functional block.

If I select a component and G drag it the lines joining the component to others get dragged but when I release the mouse they seem to fuse with intersections of other parts causing the nets to go wrong.

Is there a safe way to drag?

Is there a safe way to drag?

100% safe: no. you have always be careful with dragging around.
99% safe: use the “draw and drag at any angle” drawing mode. (left toolbar. or toggle-hotkey Sfift+space). This greatly reduces the number of unwanted connections.

Thanks I will try the drag at any angle approach and see how that goes
