Hi all,
I am having some issues with nets. I am creating a net label then clicking and attaching it to a trace. When I go into schematic setup >> net classes, I cannot see the nets to sort them into classes. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this may be?

But you haven’t created any Net classes yet ?
I have to admit, I’ve never used Net classes except for the Default obviously . . . but I have a rudimentary grasp of the principles.
I was under the impression “Default” was a net class. I think they should already be there anyway. But they still don’t appear if I add another using the plus button and give it a name
I was meaning that if I made a net label on the schematic and put it on a trace then it would appear in box 1 automatically. Then I would make a net class in 2 then I assign nets to the net classes in 3. But the nets aren’t in 1 i.e “net1” (from schematic)
that’s not how the net class editor currently works - there is no list of all nets (I think you’re remembering how it worked in V6, maybe?)
The way to use it is to create a netclass assignment (+ button below your #3) and then enter a pattern. Any nets that match the pattern will be listed in your #1. Give a read through the user manual to see how to use it in more detail.
Ok, now I’m with you. That’s great thanks. Turns out the resources I’m using that have apparently been updated for v8 haven’t… I’ll have a look at the manual
