Display net name on silk layer

Hi all,

I have a pinheader with 24 pins, each with a unique global label attached to it. Is it possible to display (place it on the silk layer) the value of these labels?

Not automatically. At least not in version 5. You can however always place a manual text field.

You may be able to write a KiCommand string that will do this. Perhaps select a copper track segment, execute where the net name is extracted and put at an angle matching the segment with a given offset.

I know, but that is actually what I would like to avoid: adding anything manually breaks the link between the layout and the schematics. In my opinion, it would be really great to have the possibility to display anything (even user-defined fields) that was assigned in eschema. Is this foreseen in version 6?
