Differential pair setup issues

Hello,

There seem to be many tutorials and videos on differential pair routing, but have found nothing on getting a schematic and/or footprint to that point. From what little has been found on the forum, an N and P has to be at the end of the pin names, but when trying to route in the PCB editor, only one pin is selected. Is there a trick that i'm missing?

Since I cannot upload a screenshot, this is the schematic layout for one pair.

Component 1 pin name HDMI_D0_N >> global label HDMID0N >> component 2 pin name D0-
Component 1 pin name HDMI_D0_P >> global label HDMID0P >> component 2 pin name D0+

Thanks

Can you upload your PCB somewhere (a stripped-down version of the desgin is OK)?
Tom

You have yo select from the top menu: Route -> Differential Pair.

Its all good now. I started by changing all of the foot prints to use exactly the same pin names and used +/- at the end off all of them. This didn’t do the trick, so all of the global tags used in the schematic were changed to the same name as the pins and it started working correctly. Not sure which item actually fixed it as I kept forgetting to switch to OpenGL view each time the PCB editor was opened.

Thanks all.
