Hi, I wanted to change the name of a branch which is connected to a connector pin and an IC. Therefore, KiCAD won’t really change it. But is there another option to change the name so the routing through the PCB isn’t that confusing?
In PCB it just shows me VOLTAGE-OVER-55V. But that would mean for me that the ICs just get power when the optocoupler says so which I don’t want.
So basically, the branch with +12V should be called +12V and the one with VOLTAGE-OVE-55V also VOLTAGE-OVE-55V
Look into net-ties, a physical piece of copper that provides nodal isolation todo exactly what you want.
Unfortunately, they are not always the best solution (especially from the pcb perspective) but thats all that is supported at the moment.
iirc there is meant to be “net ties” in v6
As a side note:
The use of your optocoupler looks weird.
At the moment it turns on it short circuits +12V to GND.
Is this really what you want ???
